Crime in America has always been an issue to discuss and many still think America has a long way to go before it gets any safer. In the crime report from FBI, the preliminary semiannual Uniform Crime Report,” for the 2015 January to June shows the statistics conducted and whether crime rate has reduced in the United States. The report has analyzed different types of crime, from robbery with violence, rape, property theft to murder cases based on the year 2015 and 2014.Violent in America has generally decreased since the year 2014 to 2015 by 4.2 percent. In general, crimes like rape, robbery, murder and assault have reduced since the year 2014 and 2015 respectively (Preliminary Semiannual Uniform, 2015).

The current trend in crime based on the report in the United States shows that crime in America is decreasing. This is because in 2014 to 2015, arson cases decreased by almost 5.4 percent and in general; property crimes reported a lower percentage as compared to 2014 by 4.2 percent in 2015. Trend in crime if the property channels and efforts are followed, then crime will continue decreasing even in future not only in the current period. Crime has reduced substantially, although some parts in America still face increased violent crimes while property crime still remains low as statistics show (Latest Crime Statistics Released, 2016). The current trend in crime also shows decreased crime activities since, based on the years 2014 and 2015, crimes rates have dropped from burglary to rape cases, this promises a good decreased crime trends if the local police continue using the same measures they have been using to solve and lower crime rates in the United States.

Based on the statistics on the crimes in the United States, since the earlier years like in the 1980s to 2000s, America’s crime rate was high and there was a lot to worry about. In today’s time, with the latest technology and local police officers being well equipped and militarized, fighting crime has changed and is not a bigger challenge now and in future. Resources have been police to be more available. For example, the availability of good roads, power, security cameras, response systems and social media, has improved the participation of police crime solving rate to the citizens. Unlike in the past, police didn’t have quality technology to solve and stop crimes (Fuchs, 2015). Police and other crime fighters use computerized machines to hunt down law offenders, track them down and bring them to justice. This rather promises a bright future to the people of America. Statistics show that, deploying police in areas that are hot spots for crime, lowers crime rates by 60% and this is what America security associations has done recently showing a new way of tackling crime in different states. This shows that America’s future in crime will decrease and violence will be lowered to almost 80% because of the proper functioning of police institutions and well funded, militarized local police to act and solve crime.
