This book presents a chilling crime story in which the line amid fiction and fact suddenly appears blurred. Originally, the book aim was to provoke opposition to poor law amendment act suggesting poor law commissioners were intent using infanticide to control the explosion in the population of the poor. Nonetheless, this book explores and discusses in depth crime stories which have occurred and led to massive deaths of innocent people. The book is very entertaining, and the author uses symbols to present his arguments in a better way. To estimate the impact of death penalty on murder preemption, the author uses econometric analysis. Despite of the book been quite chilling, it offers a deep insight of murder and how police fail to see the simple but important clues which could lead to the identification of the criminals. Nonetheless, the book is very impressive, and it gives the reader the morale to go on and on.
