Dissemination is the distribution of information and intervention materials to a clinical practice audience. However, dissemination strategy is the developed approach to dissemination of a particular project including identification of potential targeted adopters. The primary target is to spread information and the associated evidence-based information. The strategies spread knowledge and the associated evidence-based intervention on a broad scale within or across geographic locations or other networks of end users. For a communication plan to be disseminated efficiently in the action plan, active dissemination strategy should be used efficiently.
First, is to establish a stable conduit within the organization. It is used to decimate knowledge about the organization. To achieve this, we approach it in different ways such as electronic mailing. Establishing an electronic mailing list for the organization provide a strategy for internal communications. Also, create an external list to communicate with a broader community. Focus groups can be used as a technique for external communication of the organization. The main aim of these focus groups is to relay feedback loop for formative evaluation as a way of indulging the stakeholders in the organization and also as a means of dissemination of the action plan and communication. I will also develop working groups to manage the organization work and provide essential techniques for formative organization evaluation. These groups focus on a specific issue in the organization (Peppard, & Ward, 2016).
Secondly, is to develop publication programs. The created programs comprise of targeted informational texts prepared to increase awareness about the organization and all its activities. Also, there will be a creation of instructional literature which is acquired from experience across the organization. For example, methodological guidelines of the organization or the strategy guide to better practice such as the financial and organizational implications.
The third strategy is to develop an effective mechanism for disseminating materials. To achieve this first, we create a worldwide web page. The organization website will contain information about the organization and all its activities. Relevant details of contacts, working papers, and background information of the organization (Peppard & Ward, 2016). Also, it will include dates for special events such as workshops or conferences. The website will also avail links to download instructional materials of the organization and also display news updates to inform the community about the current situation of the organization. The website can also be used as a means to distribute policy and instructional documents to be used by the employees of the organization for effective communication. Besides the use of the website, the organization will also use printed publications of essential publicity and all the instructional materials to be distributed without charge to all the stakeholders of the organization.
The main aim to use these different formal and informal channels of communication for effective dissemination of the action plan; is to be able to increase the reach of evidence across many people. Secondly is to improve the community motivation to apply and use the evidence successfully and lastly is to enhance the community ability to use and apply the evidence.
To successfully implement the communication plan, I will need to draw useful managerial skills which will come in handy to assist in successfully implementing the communication plan of the action plan (Nah & Delgado, 2016). I need to understand the objective of the action plan. To be sure of what I want to achieve, when and why. Secondly, is to understand the audience by using the stakeholder analysis to be able to recognize who to communicate with and why should you communicate. The next thing is to plan communications messages and channels to know when and how the messages will be delivered to the appropriate audience. Lastly, is to monitor the effectiveness of the channel used either formal or informal. The feedback will help to develop any other upcoming communications to meet the community needs effectively.
